Webb Worlds Ltd is a UK internet services company, based in Newark-On-Trent, Nottinghamshire.
Incorporated in 1996, the company is now over 20 years old.

We strive to offer the highest level of service and support. This has proven to be the key factor in our ability to expand and be competitive in the ever changing internet market.

Our History

Webb Worlds Ltd became incorporated as a limited company in September 1996.

For 12 years, Webb Worlds was based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Then in 2008, Webb Worlds moved to new offices in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Finally in 2015, Webb Worlds moved again, this time to Newark-On-Trent, Nottinghamshire.

We have seen big changes to the style and format of websites (and indeed the whole internet) over this period.

Initially, Webb Worlds had created it's own Content Management System — SiteMaster ®, in some ways very similar to WordPress (which wasn't created until May 2003) but with many additional features. Yet SiteMaster was more than just a CMS, it also offered e-commerce and e-catalogue, advanced mailing list software, simple web form creation and much more. However, times have changed and so have customer requirements too. Since 2013, Webb Worlds have been creating websites without SiteMaster, mostly using HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript — just like this website. We use WordPress and other CMS software when required.

Early in 2019, Webb Worlds began to promote its brands more and itself less. Concentrating on the brand names which are either already established such as ProntoSSL (since 2006) or recent additions such as Notts Websites.
